When you come to the DNS information during domain name registration, if you choose a paid hosting plan (Compare our paid domain hosting plans [opens in a new window]), you don't have to worry about DNS settings. The hosting account will automatically be active as soon as your domain name is.

If you want to host your domain free at 1AFM.com, then during the sign-up process when you come to STEP 4: DNS Data For Your Hosting Account you'll need to change the DNS.

What it will say is DNS DATA FOR YOUR HOSTING ACCOUNT. Enter the DNS Information Associated with this Domain Name.

What you need to do is scroll down to where it says, "I'm hosting with another ISP. I'll enter my name server information below:"

And there you'll find Add Name Servers: followed by a form slot to enter a name. Copy and paste:

ns1.0catch.com

Once you click on "Add" the same page will come up again. Scroll back down to "Add name Servers." Now there will be a form slot for the second name server and should already say ns2.0catch.com. If it doesn't, copy and paste the following into th form slot:

ns2.0catch.com

After registering the name you'll have to wait normally about 24 hours or so (sometimes less, sometimes up to 72) for the DNS settings to propogate. At that point you must go to 1AFM.com and sign up for the domain hosting separately. Simply go to 1AFM.com and scroll down to "Free 1AFM Domain Hosting."

The DNS settings for a domain name must already be pointing to ns1.0catch.com and ns2.0catch.com for the sign-up to go through. So, if the 1AFM hosting sign-up won't go through, go in and change the DNS settings. If the settings are already changed and it won't go through, it simply means the DNS hasn't propogated - just try back later.
